Florida KidCare (SCHIP) Benefits
Program DescriptionFlorida KidCare offers affordable, low-cost health insurance for the uninsured children of Florida. No interview required, just fill out and mail the easy, one-page application and we will tell you if your child is eligible.
General Program RequirementsIn order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of Florida, under 19 years of age or be a primary care giver with a child under the age of 19, not covered by health insurance (including Medicaid), and a U.S. national, citizen, legal alien, or permanent resident.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:

Your application will be screened for Children's Medicaid. If eligible, you will receive a notice from the Department of Children and Families advising you when Medicaid benefits begin.
