Idaho offers the Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) so your childreninfants to teensmay qualify for health insurance at no cost to you. SCHIP provides insurance to working and non-working families. It allows you-parents, grandparents, and guardians-to get the health insurance coverage your children need and deserve.
Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program a child must be a resident of Idaho, under 19 years of age, not covered by health insurance (including Medicaid), and a U.S. national, citizen, legal alien, or permanent resident.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
