Overview

The purpose of the program is to develop, implement, carry out, or coordinate programs or activities designed to obtain enforcement of the rights granted by the Fair Housing Act or by substantially equivalent state and local fair housing law.

Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) Private Enforcement Initiative is administered by Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO).

Program Requirements:

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a non-profit fair housing organization that to conducts enforcement activities to prevent or eliminate discriminatory housing practices.
