What is Georgia Unemployment Insurance ?
The Federal-State Unemployment Insurance Program provides temporary income for workers who are unemployed through no fault of their own (as determined under Georgia law and meet other eligibility requirements).

Program Requirements
Georgia law requires individuals to meet all of the following requirements to be paid benefits:
- Earn enough money within the last 18 months to set up a claim: and
- Separated from your last employer due to no fault of your own; and
- Provide proof of your lawful presence in the United States; and
- Be able, available, and actively looking for work each week you request a weekly benefit payment.
