This is a formula grant that may be used to develop, maintain, and operate affordable housing in safe and healthy environments on Indian reservations and in other Indian areas and carry out other affordable housing activities.

Indian Housing Block Grants is administered by Public and Indian Housing (PIH).

Program Requirements

To be eligible for this benefit program, you must be a Federally recognized Indian tribe or a tribally designated housing entity (TDHE) or a state recognized tribe which was funded under the Indian Housing Program authorized by the United States Housing Act of 1937 (USHA).
