Unemployment insurance benefits provide temporary financial assistance to workers unemployed through no fault of their own that meet Vermont's eligibility requirements.

Vermont Unemployment Insurance is administered by Vermont Department of Employment & Training.
Program Requirements
To be eligible for this benefit program, you must meet all of the following:
- Unemployed, and
- Worked in Vermont during the past 18months (this period may be shorterin some cases), and
- Earned a minimum amount of wages determined by Vermont guidelines, and
- Are able to work, available for work, and actively seeking work each week you are collecting benefits.
