New York Summer Food Service Benefits
Program DescriptionThe New York Summer Food Service Program was established to ensure that, during summer school vacation, children would be able to receive the same high quality meals provided during the school year by the National School Lunch and the School Breakfast Programs. The program is primarily directed toward children in needy areas in New York. Sponsors include public or private nonprofit school food authorities, residential camps, and governmental agencies.
General Program RequirementsIn order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of New York.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is below the following amounts:
